I founded Termite Audio to release the kind of tools I’ve been building for myself since 2003.

I've always been obsessed with creating music in real time, capturing the beauty and madness of the moment. I won the UK Beatbox Championship twice, toured the world improvising to huge crowds, collaborated with artists I grew up listening to, made hit records, won awards music video awards, all the while building live systems that allowed me to make music the way I felt I needed to. In real time, intuitively, letting the audiences become part of the music itself.

Inspiration moves faster than most tools can accommodate. Without the right tool for the job, you waste time tweaking, crafting details no-one will ever notice, shopping for the perfect thing, all while forgetting what your motivating impulse originally felt like. We've all been there. Ideas arrive fully alive. Then they fade. The space between impulse and execution is where most of them die.

I build tools to close that gap.

Not tools for browsing, not tools for shopping, not tools that encourage endless tweaking while the original spark quietly evaporates.

Termite mounds are insanely complex structures, but a single termite doesn’t stand back and admire the cathedral it’s building. It just follows instinct. and impulse by impulse, something staggeringly complex and beautiful emerges.

That’s what creativity feels like to me.

You rarely know where the impulse will lead. You just need tools that let you follow it without friction — tools that don’t slow you down, distract you, or force you into someone else’s workflow.

Termite Audio builds instruments that stay out of your way and let your follow your creativity, wherever it may take you.

So you can get back to the moment where the music actually happens.
